This time I really was just playing in Photoshop and after a few experiments came up with Wings. At first it somewhat reminded me of flower petals and I even fooled around with trying to do an abstract daisy like flower. I didn’t like that effort and looking at it some more, it kinda reminds of wings on the back of a beetle. So Wings it is.
Vortex is one of happenstance images that comes about when I’m playing around in Photoshop with only a vague idea in mind. And I was thinking about how life can sometimes be like a vortex, pulling you in, out of control. It is only when we realize that we have far less control over life than we often want and the “ride” should be enjoyed for itself.
In the process of creating this piece, I even went as far as creating some spirals, but decided to go with the decreasing rings instead. No particular reason, I just like them better.
